Commerce Media Table: Connecting Commerce Leaders Across EMEA

The next chapter of Commerce Media will be shaped through industry collaboration across the whole ecosystem. It requires retailers, marketplaces, advertisers, and agencies to understand each other’s different priorities and experiences.

These priorities reflect the different roles stakeholders play within the ecosystem. Retailers are building sustainable media businesses around their customer relationships and first-party data. Meanwhile, advertisers are looking for relevant audiences, effective activation, and measurable business outcomes. And agencies are navigating how Commerce Media fits into broader strategies while addressing growing expectations around transparency and measurement. Therefore, understanding these perspectives and finding common ground is essential to moving the industry forward.

Welcome to the Commerce Media Table

GoWit initiated the Commerce Media Table, an invitation-only leadership network bringing together senior executives from across the Commerce and Retail Media ecosystem. The initiative creates space for decision-makers to exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions, and explore shared opportunities.

The first gathering took place in İstanbul on 14 October 2026, bringing together 20 C-level leaders and senior executives representing retailers, marketplaces, delivery platforms, media agencies, and advertisers across FMCG, financial services, and consumer electronics.

The Commerce Media Table Istanbul event established the starting point for this community. We combined networking with an open discussion, supported by market insights and a framework for exploring strategic priorities across the ecosystem.

Four principles define the Table:

  • Confidentiality first: Discussions remain private, creating room for candid exchange.
  • Ideas, not pitches: Participants contribute perspectives, insights, and experience.
  • Different perspectives matter: Open, respectful disagreement is part of the value.
  • Invitation only: Participation follows a curated referral and invitation model.

Together, these principles support conversations in which leaders can examine difficult questions, share experience, and learn from views outside their own organisation.

Why Commerce Media Needs a Shared Table

Decisions about audiences, activation, and measurement rarely sit within one organisation. A retailer’s approach to first-party data affects how advertisers plan campaigns. An agency’s measurement requirements influence what technology must support. The ability to connect digital and physical touchpoints depends on alignment across commercial, marketing, and technology teams.

These interdependencies create a need for direct conversation between decision-makers. Understanding what other stakeholders expect and where their expectations differ can help leaders identify practical barriers, challenge assumptions, and recognise opportunities for collaboration.

Commerce Media Table creates a setting for that exchange. Its vision reflects the multifaceted nature of Commerce Media, bringing different experiences into the same conversation and giving leaders space to consider the wider business implications.

From İstanbul to MENA and Europe

The inaugural gathering in İstanbul marked the starting point for the Commerce Media Table's broader regional ambition.

GoWit plans to expand the network across MENA and Europe, connecting senior leaders from different markets to exchange perspectives, share experiences, and strengthen relationships across the Commerce Media ecosystem.

As the network grows, each gathering will preserve the focused, invitation-only format and candid exchange that define the Commerce Media Table.

These priorities also connect with the broader Retail Media trends shaping 2026, including AI-powered operations, connected media networks, and greater accountability in measurement.

Thought Leadership Through Continuous Exchange

For GoWit, the Commerce Media Table gives thought leadership a collaborative structure. We contribute market insights and convene the community, while members bring the operating experience and strategic questions that make the exchange valuable.

The membership model is designed to extend that value throughout the year. It includes a members-only executive summary following the gathering, quarterly industry insights, selected research and strategic reports, and priority invitations to future private experiences.

This continuity creates opportunities to revisit questions as priorities develop, connect new market signals with earlier conversations, and build relationships over time. It also gives the community a role in shaping the subjects that deserve further attention.

The Commerce Media Table is just getting started. As the network expands across Europe and MENA, our ambition is to connect more industry perspectives and create a lasting space for the leaders shaping the future of Commerce and Retail Media.
